My Sharing

#TogetherWeBuild is an initiative led by Alan Kueh, as a ground-up initiative, formed with a single goal of standing up and supporting our Singapore community in building needs.

Assisted by EO members Lynn Koh and Ong Tze Boon, they work hand in hand with institutes and government organisations to solve an urgent need for the nation.

Given the COVID-19 situation in Singapore, there has been an increased need in alternative temporary housing solutions. In merely a week, Alan had developed the rapid building temporary housing solutions, with blueprints ready & Lynn’s contracting workforce onboard ready to kickstart the building of modular emergency temporary shelters in Singapore.

This is not just a temporary shelter. International organisations such as TEDxSingapore, led by Vivian Lim joined in the initiative to support the project, further galvanising the community spirit within Singapore by bringing together public, corporates and NGOs. Together, they aim to drive design solutions beyond this relief effort, we aim for potential solutions for the future of community housing in Singapore and Southeast Asia at large.

Several EO members, such as Mick PK Tan, Joewin Tan; and many SMEs has contributed their time, expertise, and resources to help support #TogetherWeBuild.

By leveraging the power of many, and the strength in numbers- we managed to rally the build community to come together and deploy resources in this crucial time.
With good conscience of bringing good health to our community in need, this is truly a good force & power of EO Singapore, boldly go!
