1,800+ Entrepreneurs from 65 Countries Gathering in Singapore

Entrepreneurs’ Organization will host its 27th Global Leadership Conference at Marina Bay Sands 22-24 April 2024

SINGAPORE (4 April 2024) – More than 1,800 entrepreneurs from 65 countries across the globe will gather in Singapore for an event organized and hosted by global nonprofit membership network, Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO). Its purpose is to connect, inspire and propel entrepreneurs in their leadership journeys, and help move the world forward.

The gathering will be held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, from 22nd to 24th April 2024, with support from the Singapore Tourism Board (STB). EO’s local chapter, EO Singapore will also provide planning support, while marking its 25th anniversary of serving Singapore-based business owners.

Built around connection, learning and leadership training, EO’s Global Leadership Conference is the organization’s premier gathering of members each year. The theme for this year’s event is Shine: Illuminate the Future, with a learning programme designed to help each entrepreneur harness their greater potential for service, growth and impact. The event is not open to the public but is exclusive to EO members and their spouses or life partners. A record number of EO entrepreneurs have registered for the event, positioning it to be the largest gathering of members in the organization’s 36-year history. More than 50 language interpreters will be providing simultaneous translations in Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish for entrepreneurs arriving from all around the world.

Ten renowned guest speakers will take the stage for keynotes or conversations during one of three days of GLC programming between 22-24 April, offering their unique insights and business experiences. Among them are: Formula One trailblazers Mark Gallagher and Jacques Villenueve; AI and Smart Cities expert Dr. Ayesha Khanna; former Nike, Revlon, and Elizabeth Arden marketer, Swan Sit; self-made Thai entrepreneur, martial artist and ONE founder, Chatri Sityodtong; and popular podcaster, bestselling author and past Google [X] Chief Business Officer, Mo Gawdat. EO’s Global Board Chair, Lynn Anstett (U.S.) and Chair-Elect, Jamie Pujara (Kenya), will also address members gathered.

Learning and inspiration will additionally take place off-site during a series of nine custom-designed excursions to Singapore businesses, the majority of which are owned by EO entrepreneurs. During these outings, called ‘Learn Arounds’, groups of entrepreneurs will gain special behind-the-scenes access to such local enterprises as Creative Eateries, Lionsbot, and Brass Lion Distillery, while learning about practical topics like succession planning in a family business, challenges and solutions in local manufacturing, operational efficiency and resource management, and innovative technologies in robotics.

Conference Chair Julie Vergara, a successful hospitality and wellness entrepreneur from the Philippines and Director of EO’s Global Board, described how proud she and the planning team are to be convening the diverse lineup of provocative speakers and experiences.

“For entrepreneurs in EO, there is truly nothing quite as moving, motivating or magical as gathering with hundreds of your fellow peers at an EO Global Leadership Conference. It is like a United Nations of entrepreneurs. And for those business owners who have ever felt that familiar sense of loneliness at the top, coming together like this can make all the difference.”

Locally, more than 190 entrepreneurs are members of EO Singapore, with businesses across varied sectors including food and beverage, education and training, apparel and retail, health or medical services, manufacturing, and computer software. One of more than 220 EO chapters around the world, EO Singapore was founded in 1999 and marks its 25th anniversary in 2024.

Singapore business founder and EO Singapore Chapter President Ray Ang said, “To help host a landmark gathering of so many entrepreneurs in our home city is not only an honor, but a true joy for all of us who have built businesses and lives in Singapore. Entrepreneurship is providing a path to prosperity that our parents and grandparents may have only dreamed of, and we are proud to help celebrate it.”

“Singapore is proud to be the preferred destination for entrepreneurs and thought leaders to convene and access global markets for collaboration across industries and borders”, added Dr. Edward Koh, the Singapore Tourism Board’s Executive Director for Conventions, Meetings & Incentive Travel. “We look forward to welcoming the esteemed members of Entrepreneurs’ Organization to Singapore to connect, be inspired and make a positive impact.”
